About Us
OUR FOUNDER
Clean Energy SEA is founded by Jane Tay, Founder and Principal Advisor. Jane brings deep expertise in power purchase agreement (PPA) structuring and negotiation, particularly in the Southeast Asian context. Her work spans corporate renewable energy procurement, utility-scale renewable development, and engagement with both corporate offtakers, developers and policymakers.
Known for her strong grasp of PPA mechanics and market design, Jane combines commercial rigor with a nuanced understanding of Asia’s regulatory and market realities. Her experience enables her to bridge the perspectives of developers, corporate buyers, financiers, legal counsels and regulators — a critical capability in markets that are still evolving toward liberalisation and corporate participation.
Jane is a frequent speaker and moderator at regional and international industry conferences, where she shares insights on clean energy transitions, PPAs, renewable procurement strategies, and regulatory frameworks.
OUR APPROACH
Our approach is built on a simple three-step method — Engage, Enable, and Empower — to advance clean energy understanding and transition across Southeast Asia.
Engage
We actively engage with corporates, developers, financiers, legal counsels, and policymakers to understand market realities, identify gaps, and surface practical challenges across Southeast Asia’s clean energy landscape.
Enable
We translate these insights into clear, practical guidance — equipping stakeholders with commercial understanding, regional context, and tools to enable better informed decision making.
Empower
We build capability and confidence through education and advisory support, empowering stakeholders to structure, negotiate, and implement PPAs effectively.
Our work is pragmatic, regionally grounded, and focused on what works in practice, not just in theory.
